More dishcloths

These are unknit, so I don't know what they will be. I haven't either doublechecked the transcription, so there can be errors.
I'd like to see what you create with these charts :-)

The corrected version

Note
24.11.2006
As Rachel points out, the letters are not quite correct. The Nun should be on the left side of Shin, not the right side...
Shin stands for "sham" - "there", in Israel the letter is Pe standing for "po" - "here".
It's actually better with "nun - gimel" because those letters stand for "great miracle - nes gadol", and that's what Chanukkah stands for too :-D

Just checking in to see if your mitts arrived yet? Hope you like them!

Ketutar said...

I do :-) A lot :-) They are so pretty, feminine, dandy and funny :-D Perfect!

Hugs and thank you :-)

thank you so much for your washcloth patterns--I think line 26 of the dreidel pattern should read--Row 26--K8, P4, K2, P1, K1, P3, K2, P4, K3, P2, K1, P1, K7.
Have a good day--Kathie Somppi Zobell (yes, my dad was Finnish)

Ketutar said...

THANK YOU VERY MUCH, KATHIE!!! :-)
It was wrong, and now I have corrected it :-)
Hugs,
Ket

Great patterns! I just made the shih tzu cloth, and I wanted to let you know that line 30 should be K6, P6, K2...the rest is correct.

Ketutar said...

I'd love to, Mama Moo!
Thank you for the generous offer :-)

Hugs,
Ket

I know I'm nitpicking, but a dreidel won't have those letters in that order.

And anyway, it's clearly a non-Israeli dreidel (Israeli ones have a different letter)

If you change the letter shin to a gimmel it'll be fine :-)
Rachel

Ketutar said...

LOL nitpick away :-) Thank you for your observance :-D
I was myself thinking about the letters. I like Shin :-) I'll make a revised version, but not right now :-)

Anonymous said...

Hi, I popped in again out of curiosity - nice to see a revised version :-)
I don't knit, only crochet but I may still be able to use the pattern.
In any case Chanuka is my favourite holiday.

Thank you so much for the star, dreidel, and menorah cloth patterns. I am looking forward to making them. Warmly, Chayah

Luciana DeVito said...

Thanks for the Shih Tzu Dishcloth pattern. I saw it last night for time and had to have it. C.O. to F.O. about 2 1/2 hours and I love mine! Thanks again. BTW, your image is missing on the blog for this. Here's mine on Google.

P.S.: Also on Ravelry (sorry for the double post)

I'm going to try to make the washcloths, Menorah and all. Can you tell me what size needles and what kind of yarn to use? Love them all, you're a smart cookie! Hugs: Barb Becker, Buffalo, NY USA

Ketutar said...

Use any yarn you usually use and the needles you like. Probably worsted weight 100% cotton and size 5 US needles would be a safe choice :-D That's what people usually use.
